Science Test on May 27th - Chapter 11

SC 9-   Test Wednesday Nov. 27th, over 4.1. Please study your 4.1 review sheet (definitions and questions).

Updated Nov. 4th-
SS 10- Chapter 1 test is Wednesday. Study the guide I gave you and you will be fine.
Sc 9- Chapter 3 test is on Friday. Study the chapter review and extra practice handouts and you will be fine.




Updated Oct. 24th-
SC 9- Do no worry about completing the 3.3 review page. It will take one more class to finish this and then there will be a review for all of chapter 3. The test will likely be the week of Nov. 4th.
SS 10- Test on chapter one will be week of Nov. 4th. There is a review sheet for the test in SS section of their binders. This can be completed in next class.

Updated Oct. 11th-
SC 9- Finish worksheets for sections 3.1 and 3.2 if not completed in class.

SS 10- Read pages 33-35 and 37-39. There will be a quiz on this information Friday, Oct. 18th. Take notes as you read of the important topics, especially vocab and important people.

SC 9- test is changed to Monday, Oct. 7th!  Tomorrow, Mrs. Young will be giving out a chapter two worksheet to be completed in class. She will also give out a study guide for the test. To study for this test: Read Chapters 1 & 2 or have someone read it to you. Study the safety test from chapter 1 test, study the sheets that Mrs. Young gave you on chapter 1 and chapter 2. Have a look at the study guide for informationon format of the test.

SC 9 -  homework assigned today in class- Complete the Parts of the Atom Concept Map
You have already done it once in class. Use the new handout with the word box and it will be a good guide for when the test rolls around. The atom concept map will be on your test on Oct. Due - Sept 19th.

Science 9- WHMIS test is to be Monday. Please read pages 10 & 11- study symbols on pages 12, 13
Please study the study guide, take the practice test. The real test will look the same.

SS 10- Due Tuesday Sept. 17th- "Paddle to the Sea" exercise. In actvities section, complete 1 and 3. If you forgot what the film was about or need to rewatch it please go to the following you tube site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olXmGz4iCxM (Your list of Canadian Icons can be things like Lakes, Rivers, Bays). For number 3, you can draw a picture for your response to the film (how did the film make you feel? what did you learn? your favorite part?)

Photo- intro (grade 8 rotation)- bring in fee, camera and memory card
